A Sufi Story: The Lost Donkey

‘O People! Shouted Nasrudin, running through the streets of his village, “Know that I have lost my donkey. Anyone who brings it back will be given the donkey as a reward!”

“You must be mad,” said some spectators to this strange event.

“Not at all, said Nasrudin; ‘do you not know that the pleasure which you get when you find something lost is greater than the joy of possessing it?”

Dying to Live

We live in a supportive Universe but do not live in a supportive system and it’s the principal of this conundrum that influences our lives by way of our mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual perspective.  The system we live in is a slow burn into a personal and private prison of negative emotion perpetuated by antiquated ideals in regards to energy, government, and finance.  Our society isn’t functioning from a place of teaching us how to live healthy lives and thrive in Wellness rather we are taught how to slowly die instead.  From the smallest proton to the vastness of the Universe there is a constant and consistent force and that force is energy.

Artwork by Josepine Wall
Energy never dies it just changes form and this is also the definition of Spirit or “God”.  We don’t have to be “religious” to use something as simple as Science and energy to “prove” that energy has an effect on each and every one of us.  We can use our understanding of energy to determine how our society shapes and forms our emotional and spiritual health to get a basic foundation of how energy profoundly influences our daily lives.

All energy has its own frequency which is the rate in which the energy vibrates.  It’s a proven fact that negative energy vibrates at a much lower frequency than positive energy.  As seen in the water molecule experiment, Love has the highest vibration of all and creates sacred geometry when Love energy is directed at the water molecule.  Human beings are also made of energy and our energy is our very Lifesource because our bodies couldn’t function without energy.  By volume, the human body produces 60,000 times as much luminosity per cubic centimeter as the Sun which makes human beings quite radiant indeed!  The simplistic thing about emotional energy is that there are only 2 emotions from which all other emotions stem and they are either Love or fear.  Obviously fear is negative and Love is Positive and we can visually see the difference.  This means that if there is negative energy directed at a person, society, religion, or social class then we are all effected in some way through labels and judgment or the “ego” which is a service to self mentality.

The Power of Equinox - March 21, 2014.

FINDING BALANCE IN ACCELERATING ENERGY

Dear Ones,

As the Equinox energy bursts on to the scene of consciousness, remember that the only place where you can find Balance is in the present moment. You are exceedingly fortunate to be a part of the auspicious beginning activity of Light that has enveloped the world in the shifting sands of new awakening. The stage is set and many scenarios will be possible. In fact, there are many possibilities available for you to experience even in your own life. It is these myriad choice points that will determine the world you live in. Your choices will also be the actions that create the pathways of rampant change intensifying on the planet.

Forever removed from old paradigms, the blossoming Earth speeds her way into full awakening of new life. Nothing that holds old structures remains untouched. Far removed from crumbling realities, those who are finding new stability in present time will be thriving. Why? Because their awareness is able to stay focused on choice points that enable them refreshing, regenerating, reconnecting resources for a life that has been restructured in full expansion and freedom. This produces delight in a new ability to move and flow in ways of true Beauty.

The decisions made at Equinox will enable you to create this life of Balance when you can fully embody the frequencies made available. The living energy present at Equinox embodies a moment of power. You have the opportunity to drink in this energy of Balance and allow it to transform the very atoms at the core of your being. How would it feel to have a sense of Presence within you that is loving, whole and free? It is your most authentic Self bound to no past or future, and able to move in untethered ways. You can claim these new choices for yourself in the Balance and Freedom that embodies pure Equinox frequencies.

The Momentum at the Starting Gate

We would like to speak in metaphor to give you a sense of the energy around this time. Imagine you are astride a great horse at the starting gate of a very exciting race. You can feel his muscles bunching in excitement beneath you as the momentum is gathering. Breaking free of the field of confinement has become your primary focus. When the bell rings and the race begins, you have a clear track ahead of you. The route is obvious because you have paved the way with your intentions. Your whole concentration is now focused on staying in the saddle and moving down the track ahead of you with total Freedom and perfect Balance.

It is this level of focus and momentum that you have been gathering in recent times. The clarity you need is available through your intentional focus on what you want to experience as the speed you are traveling on your path accelerates at Equinox. Gather your focus and do not let your attention waver to what the other horses are experiencing. They have their own journey and point of attention. Each of you has a soul purpose extending a Beacon of Guidance for you to follow. When you can allow Balance within you without wavering from your clear intention, it is easier to stay in your saddle as the force of the intense energy gallops all around you.

You can let yourself be carried by the steed of Grace, supported by Angels who are cheering you on as you follow your pathway, creating worlds where no one has gone before. You hold the reins connected to your clear desires for the life you truly want to live.

The way is open for you to choose ~ staying in Balance is the key.

More Metaphors to Enhance Your Vision

To continue the metaphors, you are creating what we love to call a Gyroscopic Stabilizing Field. It allows the core balance within you to be in a moving form like the Gyroscope that keeps things level on vessels at sea. A boat on the water is really very much like what you are experiencing in your changing world right now.

As the waves grow in intensity, your need for a stable balancing place becomes ever more important. Your inner Gyroscope is working constantly to keep you in balance, and the more you are aware of this mechanism the better you will feel. Your awareness of this Gyroscope creates a field of Balance that assists you in being a stabilizing influence with the world around you. You are only focused on your powerful intentions and the creation of a balancing point within, but your vibration becomes one of Balance, a gentle influence that is very affective.

Use your time wisely to anchor the new structures you need to stay in balance as the energy waves increase around you. You will experience the revolutionary shifts occurring with far more resourcefulness when your inner Gyroscope operates in perfect Balance, Harmony and Grace. We offer you a prayer that can assist your focus.

Divine Presence in whom I live, move and have my being, I ask for assistance in this awakening moment of Equinox.

Grant that I may create a structure of being that enables my Soul to thrive. Give me a pure experience of Gyroscopic Stability and let me use that energy to live in the power of the present moment, making choices that enable me to move through the accelerating shifts of energy in perfect balance.

Bless me that I may be in harmony with my Soul's Divine Blueprint of Perfection and maintain my place of Balance within the Love awakening in my heart.

Allow this new stability to anchor into every area of my life in a flexible form that allows freedom of movement. May all my choices be in Harmony and Alignment with my Soul’s Destiny. From the deepest place of Gratitude in my heart, I say thank you for your blessings in every area of my life. Be it so, and so it is.

Moving On

Woke up this morning thinking of an old friend.

Marie Claire was born in Paris shortly after WWII. She and her mother lived in abject poverty. She never knew her father. Marie Claire's mother told her many times that she had not wanted her, had tried unsuccessfully to abort her. In some ways this knowledge haunted Marie Claire and shaped a great deal of her life.

Marie Claire and I were born on the same day, a decade apart. At the age I am now, she died of cancer. When I went to see her in the hospital she told me, “Here I am having to go through this alone as I have done with everything.”

I didn’t know what to say. In fact, Marie Claire had a loving husband she’d been with for decades- a chef who ran his own restaurant and brought her tasty meals daily during her stay in the hospital- and two grown daughters who came to see her regularly while caring for young children themselves. And I was there.

But the truth was, Marie Claire always felt as if she was scrambling to survive, was unsupported and on her own. That’s the experience she lived. When I’d gently point out that the reality of her life did not match this assumption she would cringe and agree, but I knew it changed nothing.

And it wasn’t only that Marie Claire was unable to receive from those around her. She also could not give to herself. She had a small successful skin-care business and dreamed of creating a healing spa for women, a place where spirit was tended even as the body was pampered. She told me once that she had the money to fulfil her dream, but she couldn’t do it- was afraid to spend the money, sure that it was too late or too early or not the right economic climate or the right place. . . . Honestly, I don’t think she ever really considered acting on her vision. In her own mind, she was still the unwanted daughter, the girl living on the street, barely surviving.

I remember once sitting with Marie Claire and feeling my own frustration at her inability to receive and enjoy the life she now had. I wanted to tell her to “let the past go,” to “move on.” I didn’t- because I knew these words don’t free someone from the past and can stir deep shame- and that never helps.

And, I knew something else: where we want to say, “Move past this!” to another, we are speaking from our inability to be with the other where they are. (And yes, sometimes we may need to take a break so we don’t start saying unhelpful things.)

And. . . . where we are feeling judgemental and frustrated about another’s failure to “move on,” we may well be feeling stuck ourselves, identified with or limited by something that has happened in our past and frustrated by our own inability to “let it go.”

We are wanting someone else to do something that we have not found a way to do.

Maybe we want them to show us it can be done.

So, as I woke up this morning filled with memories about Marie Claire I wondered: Where am I feeling caught in the past? Where am I missing the opportunity to lay down a burden and walk on with more freedom? Where am I refusing healing, afraid to be free, not allowing myself to receive fully what is offered to me now?

And I offer a prayer for my old friend, grateful for what is stirred by remembering her, wishing her spirit deep peace and freedom.

Lupita Nyong'o Delivers Moving 'Black Women in Hollywood' Acceptance Speech

Newcomer Lupita Nyong'o was honored with the Best Breakthrough Performance Award at the 7th annual Black Women in Hollywood Luncheon for her work in critically acclaimed film, 12 Years a Slave, presented by fellow actress, Alfre Woodard. The following is her acceptance speech in full:

I wrote down this speech that I had no time to practice so this will be the practicing session. Thank you Alfre, for such an amazing, amazing introduction and celebration of my work. And thank you very much for inviting me to be a part of such an extraordinary community. I am surrounded by people who have inspired me, women in particular whose presence on screen made me feel a little more seen and heard and understood. That it is ESSENCE that holds this event celebrating our professional gains of the year is significant, a beauty magazine that recognizes the beauty that we not just possess but also produce.

I want to take this opportunity to talk about beauty. Black beauty. Dark beauty. I received a letter from a girl and I’d like to share just a small part of it with you: "Dear Lupita," it reads, "I think you’re really lucky to be this Black but yet this successful in Hollywood overnight. I was just about to buy Dencia’s Whitenicious cream to lighten my skin when you appeared on the world map and saved me."My heart bled a little when I read those words. I could never have guessed that my first job out of school would be so powerful in and of itself and that it would propel me to be such an image of hope in the same way that the women of The Color Purple were to me.

I remember a time when I too felt unbeautiful. I put on the TV and only saw pale skin, I got teased and taunted about my night-shaded skin. And my one prayer to God, the miracle worker, was that I would wake up lighter-skinned. The morning would come and I would be so excited about seeing my new skin that I would refuse to look down at myself until I was in front of a mirror because I wanted to see my fair face first. And every day I experienced the same disappointment of being just as dark as I had been the day before. I tried to negotiate with God: I told him I would stop stealing sugar cubes at night if he gave me what I wanted; I would listen to my mother's every word and never lose my school sweater again if he just made me a little lighter. But I guess God was unimpressed with my bargaining chips because He never listened.

And when I was a teenager my self-hate grew worse, as you can imagine happens with adolescence. My mother reminded me often that she thought that I was beautiful but that was no consolation: She’s my mother, of course she’s supposed to think I am beautiful. And then Alek Wek came on the international scene. A celebrated model, she was dark as night, she was on all of the runways and in every magazine and everyone was talking about how beautiful she was. Even Oprah called her beautiful and that made it a fact. I couldn’t believe that people were embracing a woman who looked so much like me as beautiful. My complexion had always been an obstacle to overcome and all of a sudden, Oprah was telling me it wasn’t. It was perplexing and I wanted to reject it because I had begun to enjoy the seduction of inadequacy. But a flower couldn’t help but bloom inside of me. When I saw Alek I inadvertently saw a reflection of myself that I could not deny. Now, I had a spring in my step because I felt more seen, more appreciated by the far away gatekeepers of beauty, but around me the preference for light skin prevailed. To the beholders that I thought mattered, I was still unbeautiful. And my mother again would say to me, "You can’t eat beauty. It doesn’t feed you." And these words plagued and bothered me; I didn’t really understand them until finally I realized that beauty was not a thing that I could acquire or consume, it was something that I just had to be.

And what my mother meant when she said you can’t eat beauty was that you can’t rely on how you look to sustain you. What is fundamentally beautiful is compassion for yourself and for those around you. That kind of beauty enflames the heart and enchants the soul. It is what got Patsey in so much trouble with her master, but it is also what has kept her story alive to this day. We remember the beauty of her spirit even after the beauty of her body has faded away.

And so I hope that my presence on your screens and in the magazines may lead you, young girl, on a similar journey. That you will feel the validation of your external beauty but also get to the deeper business of being beautiful inside. There is no shade to that beauty.

To Be On A Spiritual Path

To be on a spiritual path means to live mindfully, paying attention to the signs along the road and being conscious of our body — the vehicle we are traveling in — and of the needs and safety of others on the journey.

"To be on a spiritual path means to look inward as often as outward, knowing that the externals of our lives are reflections of our thoughts and words, manifestations of that which we are imagining and energizing into being with the fuel of our passion.

"To be on a spiritual path means to use the rearview mirror to be sure that the path behind is clear of debris and that we do not obstruct another's journey with clutter of our own. It means making peace with our past, knowing our future contains it, and summoning the courage it takes to acknowledge, forgive, and release whatever we have clung to that impedes our movement.

"To be on a spiritual path is to take responsibility for creating our own creed, based on our commitments, and to respect the rights of others to do the same. It also means to reflect anew on what beliefs we've inherited to be sure they are compatible with our wisdom and compassion.

"To be on a spiritual path is to embrace the mystical paradox that while we are singular, physical beings on this journey, we are also profoundly connected to one another, animated and sustained by the same vast Spirit that abides in the star, the petal of an iris, the howl of the wolf. […]

"To be on a spiritual path, it is necessary to forgive yourself for wrong turns, for failing to yield, for driving under the influence of others. These are minor and forgivable infractions. The more important rules of this road are to be attentive, to notice when you stray, and to get back on the path as soon as possible.

"We could all use a road map for the journey inward, a guide away from the crowded thoroughfare to the quiet path of our own true calling; a reminder that it is not the destination, but the journey, that is important. The fourteenth-century Italian saint Catherine of Siena once wrote, 'All the way to heaven is heaven.' Perhaps this is roadmap enough — this one stark line enough to keep us walking, reminding us that the wind we feel on the back of our necks is nothing less than the breath of God.

Dying to Be Me: My Journey from Cancer, to Near Death, to True Healing by Anita Moorjani

"Previously when I felt lost, one of the first things I did was to search outside for answers. I looked to books, teachers, and gurus, in the hope that they’d provide me with the ever-elusive solution. That’s exactly what I did when I was first diagnosed with cancer. But I only ended up feeling even more adrift because I was giving my own power away again and again.

I FOUND THAT HAVING AN INSIDE-OUT VIEW MEANS being able to fully trust my inner guidance. It’s as though what I feel has an impact on my entire universe. In other words, because I’m at the center of my cosmic web, the Whole is affected by me. So as far as I’m concerned, if I’m happy, the universe is happy. If I love myself, everyone else will love me. If I’m at peace, all of creation is peaceful, and so on.

If things seemed challenging, instead of trying to change them physically (which is what I did pre-NDE), I began checking in with my internal world. If I’m stressed, anxious, unhappy, or something similar, I go inward and tend to that first. I sit with myself, walk in nature, or listen to music until I get to a centered place where I feel calm and collected. I noticed that when I do so, my external world also changes, and many of the obstacles just fall away without my actually doing anything.

What I mean by being “centered” is experiencing being at the center of my cosmic web, being aware of my position. This is really the only place any of us ever are, and it’s important to feel our centrality at the core of it.

But from time to time, I would forget my central place in the cosmos. I got caught up in all the dramas, contradictions, angst, and pain of the physical world and couldn’t see myself as one of the expanded, magnificent, infinite beings we all truly are.

Luckily, I realized at those times that we never really become disconnected from the center. Rather, we temporarily lose sight of it and don’t feel the sense of peace and joy that comes from it. We get caught up in the illusion of separation and can’t see that happiness and sadness go hand in hand—like light and dark, yin and yang. Our sense of disconnection is simply part of the illusion of duality that makes it difficult to see oneness forming out of perceived separation. But getting centered means seeing through this and once again feeling our infinite place at the center of it all . . . at the center of oneness."

Does Love Hurt?

Last Friday on Facebook I posted a few thoughts about love- how it heals what is broken and takes us home. I also wrote,"That it broke me when someone I loved threw me across the room and I heard from the inside, the bones of my face cracking on the kitchen floor."

A got a little flurry of emails, messages and a couple of comments from folks who wondered if I was saying that love threw me across the room. I wasn't. My then-husband did the throwing and no, he was not being loving in any sense of the word when he did so.

But love did play a role in the impact that the violence had on me. Violence at the hands of a stranger must be terrifying. But finding yourself being battered and bruised by someone you love, someone with whom you have made love and life-plans, stayed up with all night talking, gone with to family dinners, shared canoe trips and silly laughter and secret dreams, turns you inside out.

From my own history and from working with others I know that the most common reason people give for not leaving someone who continues to abuse them is, "But I love him/her," or "S/he says s/he loves me, and I really think s/he means it."

Friends and relatives often respond by saying, "That's not love!" referring to either the violence- which most certainly is not love- or the desire to stay where there has been violence (which is a little more complicated in the face of tearful apologies, pledges to get help, and promises that it will never happen again.)

Here's what I finally figured out: Love is neither earned or unearned. It's a lot like grace- it comes and blesses and changes us. If the person we love abuses us, we don't have to figure out if they still love us despite their actions, and we don't have to stop loving them to remove ourselves from the place of being abused.

One of life's hard truths is that human beings sometimes treat people they love badly. How many of us can say we have never spoken harshly, aimed a barbed comment we know will hurt in the midst of an intimate relationship run amok? I am not equating unkind words with physical violence- there are important differences, including the level of cooperation required. When my six foot seven husband threw me across a room I had no choice about feeling pain when I hit the floor. But the truth is, although in theory words hurt only if we buy into them, in relationships words based on intimate knowledge of the other can do great harm because we know where the soft spots are, And in that moment the one on the receiving end doesn't have much choice about the anguish that arises- it just arises.

When I let myself acknowledge that I loved my husband but now had good reason to fear for my safety around him, I could leave. When I stopped obsessing about whether or not he loved me and how it was that someone could abuse someone they said they loved- could accept that this does indeed sometimes happen- I could remove myself from the place where violence was happening.

I am not saying that it is never possible to repair a relationship that has been marred by violence, although it's a long shot and not likely to happen without a great deal of skilled assistance. I am saying that love or no love, removing yourself from an abusive situation is vital to the mental, physical, and spiritual health of everyone involved, is an act of love.

I was a very young woman when I was beaten in my first marriage. It's been decades since I have had contact with the man who threw me across the room, but I wish him well. I remember the violence, but I also remember the canoe trips and the love-making, and the hopefulness of new love. I don't really know if he loved me or not. Honestly- and somewhat oddly- it doesn't feel like it's any of my business. Occasionally, when he comes to mind, I do a prayer for him, hold him in a moment when I remember the love I felt for the young man he was.

What freed me was realizing that I did not have to deny the love I had for him in order to leave. I just had to allow self-love to shape my choice. And I'm glad I did.

Your Life Cannot Go Wrong

In reality, your world is set up so that nothing happens to you, but everything happens for you - for your awakening, for your growth, for your inspiration, for your exploration - even if you forget that, or sometimes cannot see it, or sometimes fall into distraction and despair.

When there is no fixed destination, you cannot ever lose your destination, so you cannot ever lose your path, so nothing that happens in your life can take you off your path. Your path IS what happens, and what happens IS your path. There is no other.

Everything is a gift on this unbreakable path that you call your life - the laughter, the tears, the times of great sorrow, the experiences of profound loss, the pain, the confusion, the times you believe you'll never make it, even the overwhelming heartbreak of love - even if you forget that sometimes, or cannot see that sometimes, or lose faith absolutely in the entire show sometimes.

But even the loss of faith in the show is part of the show, and even the scene where 'something goes wrong' is not indicative of the show going wrong, and so you are always exactly where you need to be, believe it or not, even if you are not.

Life can be trusted absolutely, even when trust seems a million light-years away, and life cannot go wrong, for all is life, and life is all. Understand this, know it in your heart, and spirituality is profoundly simple, as simple as breathing, as natural as gazing up at the stars at night and falling into silent wonder. The universe is more beautiful than you could ever imagine.

Meeting Spirit

Today I was struck by this beautiful story of Spirit and it has completely absorbed my mind.  This video tells a story of a remarkable silent Spirit communication between an Animal Whisperer and an angry panther as she calms him. Life Changing For Both Cat And Man. Much to learn indeed.

I felt an urge to google more about the magic and the mysticism of the Black Panther and its totem gifts. Enjoy!

Black Panther, Power Animal, Symbol of Astral Travel, Feminine Energy, Death and Rebirth
By Ina Woolcott

Black Panther's Power Includes astral travel, guardian energy, symbol of the feminine, death and rebirth, understanding of death, reclaiming ones power, ability to know the dark, aggressiveness and power without solar influence, reclaiming Power.

The Panther is a very ancient and powerful spirit guide. Their power is lunar (moon). In Egyptian rites a panther tail was worn around the neck or waist to help protect and strengthen the individual. Panther has been a symbol of the "Argos of a Thousand Eyes," who protected the heifer IO whom Zeus loved. After his death, the eyes were moved to the feathers of the peacock.

The name panther is frequently linked with a certain species of leopard or jaguar and sometimes the cougar. Black panthers are smaller but more fierce than lions and tigers. They are also brilliant swimmers and agile climbers. Because they have the ability to sprint with great speed, they hold the teachings of quick decisive action. Panthers are not the best long distant runners though, so those with this power animal should take part in movement therapies that improve endurance, e.g. swimming, martial arts. It is necessary to learn how to pace oneself, to not push to fast or hard on any one task.

Panthers are generally loners, extremely comfortable with themselves and are often drawn to other solitary people. Women with Panther, Leopard or Jaguar power animals frequently find themselves raising their children alone, whether it be through divorce or circumstance. People with this power animal can develop clairaudience, the ability to hear communications from other forms of life or dimensions. They must trust their thoughts and inner voice/visions as they are based in reality. This is an animal guide to assist you on your path, sometimes in the form of a real person such a mentor or teacher. The Black Panther is endowed with great magic and power, which will increasingly be experienced.

Panthers have over 400 voluntary muscles that can be used at will when required. Panthers are able to move gracefully in and out of situations, as well as freeze and not be noticed. This is a symbol of the ability to shapeshift realities, using all parts of the body to perform a task. The gift of Panther is the power of silence. They are near silent when hunting or stalking prey, and know when to make themselves seen and when to become unseen.

Panther holds the secrets of worlds that are unseen and are associated with lunar energies. Within the darkness of night resides the truth of creation. Black panthers have great mysticism associated with them. They represent the life and power of the night. They can show us how to welcome the darkness and rouse the light within it. Those with this power animal contain knowledge of a galactic origin, and have a responsibility to look after and respect this knowledge. Caution must be used when sharing it with others. When the student is ready the teacher appears, and vice versa. If the student isn't ripe the information given could trigger negative consequences.

Panthers possess acute sensitivity. The hairs that cover their lithe bodies, especially on the face, pick up subtle vibrations. This is symbolic for those with this guide. It is an indication of a need to pay attention to their feelings and honour the messages those feelings transmit.

Touch can be a significant path to explore to awaken ones concealed gifts. The black panthers sleek, smooth and sensual coat has been linked to sexuality. If panther comes into your life it may be asking you to resolve old sexual issues, or to embrace your sexuality fully.

When experiencing the presence of panther, one of their most striking features is their unblinking stare. It seems to see right through the body. Those with panther medicine can use their eyes as a healing tool and have the potential to heal on a cellular level.

Panther is a powerful guide to have, always bringing a guardian energy to those to whom it comes.

What Is Truth?

This is Truth: One God, One Self, One Spirit, One Mind, One Existence, reigning alone–Eternally. Truth is ever present —complete, absolute, total, all. Truth is without interval or interruption, remaining identical within Itself. To be or not to be the One which reigns alone, is the issue which is paramount today. To know the Truth that one Self exists alone; or to claim existence of two—God and humanity—reveals one’s present Knowledge or belief.

Truth stands alone. Truth has no opposite. Truth has no supposititious antipode. Truth has no second. The teaching that we must develop from one state to another, emerge from matter into Spirit, and be translated from a material existence into the spiritual World, is a denial of the sacred, everlasting Truth that GOD is within us; CHRIST is within us; THE KINGDOM OF GOD is within us—right where we are Here and Now.

Whatever is true and perfect remains true and perfect always. Never can there be a becoming state of Reality. Our true and perfect Self is here NOW. Time and place are unknown to God. How far away from us is our Self? It is always right where we are. It knows no one is present, no one is here, but Me. In Me, there is no fear, no darkness nor veil, nor myth of Adam and sin, nor warfare, tribulation and death. I AM the One World, The ONE I AM THAT I AM. I yield My glory to none other.

We have no self or mind that is human or body that is material; no human self, mind or body can ever be. WE ARE THE ONE WHO EXISTS ALONE. All contrary beliefs must be surrendered. Truth comes as Revelation to him who, surrendering all belief of himself as another beside the One, and with his whole heart loving the Infinite unseparated ONE above all else, rejoicingly identifies himself as the one Self, the one Being, Mind and World—SPIRIT.

The one universal Selfhood was never severed. Not anything was ever lost; nor is there something to be gained. The real Self is our only Self. This Self is God. Other than the Self, There is no God.

Dear One, if you would be whole, happy and free, then identify yourself as the true and real Self only. Whatever is not true should not be considered or tolerated. Freedom consists in knowing what Truth is, and in being Truth. To know what Truth is, and to be Truth, provides our perfect answer to every question, rendering certain and sure our complete safety, security and happiness, here and now.
Thoughts may change, doctrines and laws undergo revisions, but the Truth that the perfect Self is our only Self, reigns alone—Eternally.

Come Home

Live the truth you know,
and you will know the freedom you seek.
Wait on no one.

Is it not time to surrender
that last trembling trace of your dreams?
Would you grasp a drop of water
while about lies the vast ocean?
Come home with Me, beloved.
Truly,
come home.

Rest now.
Daily I will come to you,
for we quicken our pace now,
and much there is to set in place.
Be that which Father has given unto you.
For as I, too,
had need of surrendering,
so does every soul upon every plane
within every universe.

The choice is simple:
Life, or continuing illusion.

Deep is our love for you who suffer,
yet demand that your suffering continue.
Deep is our love for you who seek us,
only to avoid us.

You have asked,
and we have answered.

The end of the Dream is certain.
Gently nod your assent,
and the world shall be no more,
burnt forever in the blaze of Reality:
the Kingdom of the Holy Father.

Come home,
beloved children,

Four Degrees of Christian Living

My spiritual friend in God, this book is an attempt to pass along to you some important lessons learned from experience.

There are four degrees of Christian living: ordinary, extraordinary, unique, and ideal. We can experience the first three in this life, but the fourth is heavenly. Yet by the grace of God, we may begin the ideal here and see it continue for all eternity. I list these four degrees as stages in ascending order.

If you make progress through these stages, the merciful Lord has called you and is leading you to himself by these same degrees.

Early in your life, you lived in an ordinary manner with your worldly friends. The everlasting love of God created and redeemed you. God also inspired your desire for him. It was as though God attached to you a leash of longing and led you to himself. God brought you to the place where
you can be a servant among his special servants. You have an opportunity now to discover a deeper spirituality. New possibilities await you.

Consider your own life. Notice God’s love drawing you carefully, almost imperceptibly, to the unique third degree of the Christian life. You stand on a steppingstone, the starting place of the road to ideal spirituality. You may begin living on this level now, before you die, as well as for eternity.

Becoming Me : A Story of Creation

The Cosmic Play
by Martin Boroson ©2000

We humans seem hard-wired to wonder about the really big questions, such as who we are, and what--if anything--God is. C. G. Jung once said that although he could not prove the existence of God, as a psychiatrist he knew that the human mind was built to have an experience of God. In other words, just as our minds have “programs” that enable us to feel sadness, anger, and ecstasy, and to think creatively and learn a language, so too have we a program that can help us “read” life in a spiritual way. Even if we have not experienced this program personally, it is reasonable to assume that it exists, simply because so many sane and wise people, throughout time, have reported its benefits. Providing that we can locate, download, and learn how to operate this program, it can give us a pretty amazing experience, an experience that many people call, among other names, God.

The greatest spiritual masters are those people who have accessed and mastered the most powerful applications of this program. When asked about the really big questions of life and death, creation and evolution, they give us a remarkably consistent set of answers, sometimes called the “cosmic game” or the “divine play”. This view provides some fascinating, moving, and colorful answers to our most profound questions about why we are here, and what is the nature of reality. My creation story, Becoming Me, tells one version of this timeless spiritual viewpoint." ........

....... "At the summit of a spiritual search awaits a direct experience of the ultimate, a kind of final destination. This experience gives you a feeling of immense satisfaction, as if you had discovered a clearing in the center of your soul, in which all things are embraced, and everything is profoundly at peace. From this perspective, beyond time and space, there are no limits or boundaries in the universe. Sometimes this is experienced as pure light, or pure mind, or pure possibility. You are resting at the Source, the Creative Potential behind all things. From the perspective of this Source, everything else seems relative. The universe is a reduction of infinity, a sub-division of the whole. Creation (and ourselves as parts of creation) are temporary rearrangements of this seamless whole, and so we are not really independent, separate things. In fact, we are not really real.

This isn’t how we normally think of ourselves. In our normal state of consciousness, the world looks like it is composed of individual, finite, and separate things. We know ourselves as a collection of things that define us. We are a body, some feelings, some ideas, our past, and our imagined future. These things define our boundaries, the difference between what is “me” and what is “not-me”. Almost everything we do is geared to preserving (and enhancing) those things that define us. But if you want to experience the divine Source, you can’t do this as “you”, because you are just one bundle of boundaries, and the Source itself is limitless, eternal, and boundless. And this is why, if you are seeking the Source, you must ultimately empty yourself. You must relax your boundaries. Your sense of self must die, which is just another way of saying that you must discover that you are really an illusion. What you thought was you is really just a set of limitations. You are, in fact, the Source, pretending to be you.

But why then are we trapped in this apparent world of time and space? Why do we believe our boundaries? Why does the divine Source bother to create such an elaborate fantasy? The answers to these questions are best summarized by the beautiful statement from the Kabbala: “people need God and God needs people”. It seems that being Eternal and Infinite can be a bit boring. Or that even God can get lonely, and crave a playmate. Or that God is like a great artist or inventor, with so much creative talent that it simply must make things. Creation begins when, once upon a time, on the still surface of perfection, an urge or desire for something else bubbles up, like a wrinkle in timelessness. And from this wrinkle, the created world, a sub-division of infinity, begins.

From within itself, the Source gives birth to an imaginary world, like an enormous film or play. We are characters in this film, unaware of the drama we’re in, unaware of the Source who creates and projects us. God is playing with us, and is playing through us, like a big hand with so many finger puppets. This is done with delight and curiosity, the way a loving parent sees the world afresh through her child’s innocent eyes.

The goal of the cosmic game is for you to discover, in a way that satisfies your own particular tests, that you are an aspect of the divine. This is the moment when you discover the God-program buried in your hard-drive. You learn its language, and start to surf the web-of-life from its custom browser.

In the search for this program, you have been challenged to let go of what you thought you were. But even then, there will still be enough of you left to enjoy the illusion of your life. What happens really is that you are no longer just-you anymore. You are also God, having a once-in-eternity experience of being you. It’s like having the best of both worlds.

And so, although the game is over, the playing is about to begin. Because with this new awareness (that life is not quite so real) and with your new, relaxed identity as both God and you, you can watch and play and live your life with less fear and judgment. You can live more lightly. You can watch the birth of new life and new love. You can witness new technologies and new cultures and new disasters and new heroic responses to disasters.

You can feel deeper compassion for all things in creation, who are also you, and also God. You can love and cherish this planet, a world that you co-create every time you open your eyes. And with the power of your awareness, you can help nudge the game, or tilt the odds, just that little bit closer to their final goal ... which is simply that all beings realize who they are. You can lose yourself and find yourself and lose yourself again. And you can fall madly in love with this beautiful illusion, just as it is, over and over and over again.

I Am The Way, The Truth, The Life.

Those who would share My vision have but one duty:

To choose wholly,
to rest in the peace they already are
Craving not the world,
having set above and apart the Kingdom
of the Blessed Father,
serving God not through doing,
but by loving the presence of the Kingdom
above imagined fantasies,
or that which the world is.

For if any man loves the world,
love for the Father is not in him.

How many dare to accept this simple truth?
It is the key,
given freely to anyone who would pass through
the eye of the needle.

I love you.
Can I do other but love that which I AM?
For those who see it not,
the blaze of your glory shines before Me.
I see not but Myself,
the Son of God.
See with these eyes, and these alone.
Herein lies the salvation of the world

I Am

Be not hopeful of good for the New Year, but ASSURE yourself of good by daily beginning your activities with a silent, inner realization of His presence, His grace.

There is nothing deeper in the spiritual literature of the world than the two words, I AM. As a matter of fact, when you are in the depths of despair, those are the only two words that can come to your rescue – not what I would LIKE to be, not what I HOPE to be, not what I am TRYING to be through the use of all these words. In the end, you will realize this: What it is I am seeking, I already am. You will then give up all this physical effort and mental effort. You will give up all the struggling. Why struggle for that which I already am? Do not try to be more spiritual; do not try to be more moral; do not try to be more good; do not try to be more anything. Give up the struggle; stop trying to be one thing other than that which you are now are; settle back and realize: That which I am, I AM. All that God is, I AM. That which I am seeking, I AM.

Light

Spirit, God, is one infinite, indivisible, pure and perfect Selfhood; and there can be no personal self, being, mind or body. Spirit is our Life, our Life is Spirit. Spirit is our Mind or Consciousness. Mind or Consciousness is our Spirit. Spirit is our Body, our Body is Spirit.

Spirit is our only Self, I or ME-boundless, immeasurable, timeless, spaceless, incorporeal. There is no mortal, human or material being, mind, self or body.

Spirit is our only Self, I or ME-boundless, immeasurable, timeless, spaceless, incorporeal. There is no mortal, human or mate-rial being, mind, self or body. There is but "ME"-I AM the One who is real and present.

When this new revelation is seen and accepted, there will be no more sickness, sorrow, disease, pain or death. As the belief and teaching that we are mortals, humans or mankind is done away with, there will be no misbelief, misconception, erring teaching or wrong thinking.

Seeing that the One Self, "I" or "ME" reigns alone, and that there can be no other identity-whether as mind, consciousness or body each one should reject and discard the beliefs and teaching which identify oneself as man, humanity or mankind; for within this very identification lies the subjection to suffering, disease and limitation. Our deliverance, therefore, is not from suffering, worry, fear or old age, but that one ceases to believe or accept that he is a mortal or human being, and that his body is material or physical.

The healing of disease will never be the termination of disease, nor can the healing of suffering bring an end to suffering; nor will the denial of matter do more than continue to keep one in the belief that he is a mortal, and that his body is material, thus prolonging his association with sickness, lack and suffering.

This new revelation is bound to come universally. The time is here, not only for us to know the unadulterated Truth, but for us to speak it out loud. Spirit is our only Self, Spirit is our only Body, Spirit is our only World-complete, perfect, present. Spirit is the only "I" or "Me".

Because of this deeply profound revelation-that Spirit alone is all, and that nothing else is present here and now but Spirit, God, the ONE-there must come an end to the belief and teaching that we are mortals, humans, humanhood or humanity.

Perceiving that one's Self or I Am exists alone, one should forthwith renounce and relinquish all belief and teaching which keep him subject to mortality and suffering by identifying him with another self, mind and body not the One.

In the Light of our pure, boundless, unrestricted love for Truth and Reality, and in the certainty of our pure vision and perfect knowledge that there is one Self, one Consciousness, and one world only, we know and we declare that there was never a deflection of being, 'nor a creation of mortals. We know we are not a mortal! We know we are not a human mind! We know we are not a material body! We know we do not live in a human existence!

Truth exists alone. The one I Am, the one Selfhood, is Principle, Power, Life and Being. Let no one continue to believe that he can find out what Truth is by reversing error or by denying material senses. Knowing by Spirit within, that Truth IS, one simultaneously knows there are no material senses. Identified as the One Mind only, one has no consciousness of, or belief in,
error.

The fact should be evident, that only one's belief that he is separate from or other than the one Self, Being and Mind, causes him to believe in mortal beings, material senses and error; and thus allows him to be subject to problems, vicissitudes, limitation and sorrow.

As soon as one sees and accepts the revelation that God, Spirit is the whole of him, and the whole of all, and that he is not separated from God, nor from Spirit, he will then know naught of material testimony, mortal belief or human existence.

His only remedy for sin, sickness, suffering and limitation will be his own perfect knowledge and awareness that Spirit is his own eternal Selfhood, present here and now as the totality of his life, being, world and existence.

No error or evil made a mortal man. No human concept ever existed. Sin did not create a sinner, nor was sin self-created. Self-created matter, self- destructive evil or self-constituted falsity never existed or seemed to exist; nor will error or evil be self-destroyed. All such theories and beliefs have as their only basis the fabulous religious doctrine of original sin and separation.

As long as one infinite God remains one infinite Selfhood, Mind and Universe, there is no material creation, no mortal being, no human mind and no corporeal body.

Reader, fear not to examine carefully what you read, and what teaching you accept; have this thought in mind: does it identify you with perfection, purity, wholeness, harmony, peace, serenity and happiness right here and now—or—does it relate you to problems, labor, struggle, suffering and limitation by identifying you as humanity, humanhood or mankind, with a mortal, human body, living in a human existence?
